Hi everyone, Kevin here from XYSFITNESS. If you’re a hotel manager or designer, you know this truth: A great gym isn’t just an add-on—it’s a way to win guests, boost reviews, and stand out from other properties. But when you’re working with a 74㎡ space? The challenge becomes: How do you fit everything guests need without making it feel cramped or cheap?
That’s why we’ve put together this full 74㎡ hotel gym design plan. It’s not just about filling space—it’s about balancing function, comfort, and value, so your guests get a top-tier workout experience, and you get a space that drives repeat stays. Let’s break it down.
Before we dive into gear, let’s talk about the “why.” Today’s travelers (especially mid-to-high-end hotel guests) don’t just want a treadmill and a few dumbbells. They want a gym that lets them stick to their routine—whether that’s a quick cardio session, a strength workout, or a post-travel stretch.
This 74㎡ plan hits that sweet spot:
Fits 10–15 guests at once (no long waits, even during peak hours like 7–9 AM).
Blends with your hotel’s aesthetic (we’ll touch on that with flooring and mirrors).
Focuses on durable, low-maintenance gear (no constant repairs—critical for busy hotels).
Delivers real value: Guests notice when a hotel invests in their comfort, and that translates to 5-star reviews.
You don’t need a huge space to cover all workout needs—you just need smart zoning. Here’s how we split 74㎡ into 3 functional areas:
Guests love cardio for morning energy or post-meeting stress relief. We kept this compact but powerful:
2 XYSFITNESS Treadmills
2 XYSFITNESS Ellipticals
2 XYSFITNESS Spin Bikes
Why 2 of each? It avoids lines (guests hate waiting for treadmills!) and covers different preferences—some love running, others prefer low-impact ellipticals. We place this zone near a wall (to save space) and add a small water station nearby—small touches that make a big difference.
Strength training is non-negotiable for many guests, but full racks take too much space. Our solution? Two hardworking machines:
1 XYSFITNESS 3-Station Multi-Trainer
1 XYSFITNESS Smith Multi-Trainer
These two machines replace dozens of single-purpose tools. The 3-station trainer lets 3 guests work out at once (chest presses, lat pulls, leg curls—all in one spot), and the Smith trainer handles everything from squats to shoulder presses. Together, they take up less than 15㎡ but cover full-body strength training.
For guests who want to focus on specific muscles or core work, we add:
1 Set of XYSFITNESS Dumbbells (2.5kg to 15kg, 2 of each—so no fighting over 10kg dumbbells)
1 XYSFITNESS Adjustable Dumbbell Bench
1 XYSFITNESS Ab Bench
We tuck this zone in a corner (again, space-saving!) and line the wall with mirrors—guests can check their form, and mirrors make the space feel bigger.
Let’s get specific about the equipment. Every piece here is picked for hotel guests—durable, easy to use, and designed to keep up with daily use.
XYSFITNESS Treadmill: 32-inch full HD screen (guests can stream shows while running—no more boring workouts!), Siemens Sinamics V20 inverter (keeps the belt smooth, no “jerky” feels), and a 580x1570mm wide running deck (fits all body types). The shock absorption also protects knees—critical for guests who might not work out regularly.
XYSFITNESS Elliptical: 40 levels of magnetic resistance (from easy warm-ups to tough HIIT), a 15.6-inch touchscreen, and a 508mm stride (natural, low-impact motion). It even has a card reader—great if you want to track guest usage.
XYSFITNESS Spin Bike: 23kg cast iron flywheel (smooth, quiet rides), ergonomic seat/handlebars (adjustable for any height), and a compact design (fits in tight spots).
XYSFITNESS 3-Station Multi-Trainer: 7 exercises in one (chest press, butterfly, pull-ups, etc.), and 3 guests can use it at once. Saves 50% more space than single machines—huge for 74㎡.
XYSFITNESS Smith Multi-Trainer: Combines a Smith machine, power rack, and cable fly—hundreds of workouts in one. It comes with all the accessories (handles, ankle straps, bars) so guests don’t need extra gear.
PVC Sports Flooring (74㎡): Shock-absorbent, slip-resistant, and easy to clean (spills, sweat—no problem). It also mutes noise, so guests in nearby rooms don’t hear clanging weights.
Mirrors (18㎡): As I said, they make the space feel larger, and help guests avoid bad form (which reduces injury risks).
Dumbbells & Benches: The adjustable bench fits flat, incline, and decline positions (for chest, shoulders, back), and the dumbbells go up to 15kg—enough for most guests’ needs.
While we built this for star hotels, it’s flexible enough for:
Boutique hotels
Corporate wellness centers
Apartment complexes
Small fitness studios
We can tweak it too—if your budget is tighter, we can swap out a machine for a more compact option. If you have a little extra space, we can add a stretch corner. The goal is to make it work for you.
Here’s the thing: A great hotel gym doesn’t have to cost a fortune or take up half your lobby. With smart layout and the right gear, 74㎡ is more than enough to impress guests.
At XYSFITNESS, we’ve helped dozens of hotels design gyms that get rave reviews. We’ll work with you to:
Tweak this plan to fit your space and budget.
Pick gear that matches your hotel’s style (we offer custom colors for some machines!).
Make sure everything is easy to maintain (no more late-night repair calls).
If you’re tired of generic, cramped hotel gyms—and want a space that guests actually use and talk about—let’s chat. Drop me a line, and I’ll send over a free quote and a 3D mockup of how this design would look in your space.
Your guests deserve a great workout. Let’s give them one.
