1- Iron and Rubber plates are different seizes in diameter
To start, the biggest difference between rubber and iron plates is the size difference in diameter,

2- Their width and density
The second difference between iron and rubber plates is that iron plates tend to be denser and thinner on the bar,
and thus tend to be preferred by power lifters who are moving massive weights.
Rubber plates are made out of rubber which is less dense material so the tend to be thicker on the bar.
3- The rubber is much quieter when in use and dropped
The third difference between rubber and iron plates is that rubber plates are much quieter on the bar,
rubber plates is designed to be dropped so is not gonna be a great idea to drop these iron plates on the floor because they might damage the bar.
